We are delighted to share that Kitchen Makers by Burbidge has been featured on the front coverand inside the latest edition of Period Living magazine.
The feature showcases the beautiful home of Emma and Jamie Brown, a former cow shed in Warwickshire and one of the county’s oldest properties. Lovingly restored over time, the home retains an abundance of original character, from its exposed beams to its traditional windows.
After more than 30 years, the family’s existing kitchen was beginning to show its age. As part of their renovation, they replaced the dark terracotta flooring with bright limestone and chose our Haddon Shaker cabinetry to create a lighter, more welcoming space that remained sympathetic to the building’s heritage.
The Haddon range was a natural choice for the project. Its classic Shaker styling provides a timeless look that complements period architecture without competing with the property’s original features. Emma was immediately drawn to the combination of Pale Navy andCashmere, creating a scheme that feels elegant, understated and perfectly suited to the character of the home.
Seeing one of our kitchens featured in a publication such as Period Living is always a proud moment. It reflects our belief that well-designed cabinetry should enhance a home rather than dominate it, whether in a centuries-old property or a contemporary setting.
For over 150 years, the Burbidge family has been crafting kitchens in the West Midlands, combining traditional craftsmanship with thoughtful design to create furniture that stands the test of time.
