For a kitchen retailer, product quality is only part of the picture. What really matters is that the kitchen arrives as expected, fits as intended and can be installed with as little disruption as possible.
That is why we place such emphasis on quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
We aim to identify and resolve issues here in our factory, rather than allow them to become remedials once a kitchen reaches the site.
Quality Checked Throughout Manufacture
Every door and panel is individually inspected before it is packed.
If our team identifies something that is not quite right, the issue is reported immediately, and the item is either resprayed or remade before it progresses any further.
We also record the issues we find. This gives us useful information about where problems can occur and allows us to take corrective action, helping us continually improve the process for future orders.
For us, quality control is not simply a final check at the end of production. It is something that runs throughout the manufacturing process.

Checking the Complete Kitchen, Not Just the Individual Parts
Individual components may all be correct, but with a bespoke kitchen, it is equally important to make sure they work together as one complete scheme.
That is why our orders go through further inspection as they are assembled.
Once assembled, the furniture is checked and photographed before packing, giving our team another opportunity to inspect the finish, construction and overall quality of the order.
Then comes one of the most important stages in our process, the dry fit.
Why We Dry Fit Every Kitchen Makers Order
Before dispatch, every order is laid out in our factory as it will be installed in the customer’s home.
This allows us to check the kitchen against the agreed dimensions and design intent, and to see how all the individual elements work together.

For retailers, this provides an important additional level of reassurance.
Rather than simply producing and packing a collection of cabinets, doors, and panels, we can view the kitchen as a complete project before it leaves us.
Our Projects team, who have been involved with the order from the outset, then carry out the final approval.
A Photographic Record Before Dispatch
As part of the final checks, we produce a Quality Report supported by photographs.
This creates a clear record of the kitchen before packing and dispatch, and helps give both our team and our retail partners confidence that the appropriate checks have been completed.
It is a detailed process, but we believe the time invested at this stage is well spent.
Fewer Problems On Site
We know how disruptive a remedial can be.
It can mean another visit from the installer, delays in completing the room, and, most importantly, inconvenience for your customer.
No manufacturing process can simply rely on hoping problems do not occur. Our approach is to build checks into the process so that, where an issue is identified, we have the best possible opportunity to put it right before the kitchen reaches you.

For our retail partners, that means greater confidence when specifying Kitchen Makers and a manufacturing team working behind the scenes to help make each installation as straightforward as possible.
Because when a kitchen arrives on site, we want your installer to focus on fitting it beautifully, not on problems that could have been addressed in our factory.
